Visit Dinosaur Ridge, an outdoor museum 20 minutes west of Denver on Colorado’s beautiful Front Range
See more than 250 fossil tracks at the paleontologist-rated #1 Dinosaur Tracksite in the nation, and see the site of the first-named Stegosaurus bone fossils!
Take a guided tour or a self-guided walk at your own pace. Field Guides and downloadable audio tours are also available.
Guided Public Bus Tour
The most popular way to experience Dinosaur Ridge: take a 45 minute guided bus tour with an interpretive guide. Costs: $20/adult (ages 12+), $14/child (ages 3-12), free for ages 2 and under.
Weekend Guided Walking Tours
Join a small group for a guide-interpreted walking tour of several fossil sites across Dinosaur Ridge. Learn about the geology and natural history during this outdoor 1.5-mile paved walking tour. Plan on 2 hours. Weekends only.
Self-Guided Walk across Dinosaur Ridge
Interpretive signs lead you on this 1.1 mile (one way from gate to gate) outdoor walk along a pave road. Plan up to two hours. Available from sun up to sun down. Parking is free at the Main Visitor Center during open hours, or roadside before and after center hours.
Walk with a Geologist
For the ultimately experience join a small group walking tour led by a local geologist to see dinosaur tracks and bone fossils. Learn about the geology and changes to Colorado over deep time. Plan on 2-2.5 hours. Available certain weekends each month.

Follow in the footsteps of prehistoric creatures at Dinosaur Ridge and see the fossils they left behind at Morrison Natural History Museum.
Morrison Dino Pass
$34 adults (12+) | $22 kids (3-11) | 2 and under free
Admission to both Dinosaur Ridge (Bus Tour & Exhibit Hall) and Morrison Natural History Museum.
Dino Passes are available for purchase in-person at either location. You can also order passes online when you book your tour with Morrison Natural History Museum. No reservations required at Dinoridge– only proof-of-purchase.
